Installation Notes

CartoPlot Server requires Java 11 or better to run, which is bundled with the distributions. It can also be deployed as a WAR file to a servlet container like Tomcat or Jetty.

Installation Notes for Windows

Run the CartoPlot Server installer. The application will be installed to c:\Program Files\CartoPlotServer by default.

Start CartoPlot Server by executing

cartoplot-server /start

Installation Notes for TAR-Archives (Unix)

• All files are contained in an enclosing folder named CartoPlotServer. Unpack the distribution file with

• Start CartoPlot Server by executing
  
  
  cartoplot-server start
  
  

Installation Notes for RPM-Archives (Linux)

Install the rpm with rpm -i <download_filename> or your favorite rpm tool.

How to Upgrade

You may install a new version of CartoPlot Server on top of an older version. Your configuration will not be lost.
